Dear Diary: Day 1

I am at lost, I don’t know what to do or what to think. The news is too sudden. You sounded fine when you told me about breakfast and lunch.

I just want you to wake up.

Dear Diary: ww22.4

I heard something very funny in the evening news. The Malaysian government is going to go bankrupt unless they reduce subsidies. Whose doing is this? Where did our money go?

The price of fuel is going to be increased, and with this the price for everything else. The country is knee deep in debt, and with the current spending and reduced income, it can only get worse.

That’s what you get for spending your way to popularity.

Parti bapa, anak and menantu… be gone!!

Dear Diary: ww20.4

History is repeating in Sibu, people wake up!!

Najib said that the opposition parties are being dominated by fathers, sons and in-laws. He paused after the first few words while making the statement. Why? Because he realized that he was a pot calling the kettle black. :)

An arrogant bunch on the court, bah!!

ww20.1

Today is Monday, and it has been a busy one. A staff is off for 1 week on vacation, have to personally follow-up with her work. I use such opportunities to check on work quality and discover rooms for improvements.

The Sibu election is become one huge count of bribery. Upgrades of this and that, the central government is basically dumping money to secure a win. People of Sibu, do not be fooled. Your votes are worth more than dollars and cents!

Really need to come up with a design I want for renovation. Argh… I need ideas… and MONEY!!!

Dear Diary: ww19.6

Took a few days off from posting routine stuff. Today is Saturday, I guess I can spare a few minutes. :)

Feeling a little lost at work the last few days, not liking what has happened. Life is so unpredictable, especially when you are not your own boss.

The air conditioner gave up on me, argh!!!  Don’t think I will survive without it, the weather is ridiculously warm. Had to sleep on the floor last night since tiles are definitely cooler compared to the mattress!

Started reading the autobiography of Gandhi, slow but interesting. Finished the book on body language, eureka! Finally can return it to the owner after so many months. :) I know that is a really long time, but I only managed a couple of pages every single day.

Caught up with a friend via MSN last night, glad to know that he is making some changes and that he is feeling good over them. Change is an important part of life. As humans, we intend to get bored or complacent over what we already have.

Mother’s Day… surprisingly no plans. Not sure if anything will come up.

Feeling like having a haircut, but kind lazy…

Must remember to deposit money into a friend’s account, need to have them changed into Thai Bhat. Must remember… must remember…

Dear Diary: ww19.2

Had a busy day at work today, not sure about what though. A bit of this, a bit of that.

Got to know that the team of volunteers under the patronage of Her Majesty’ the Queen of Thailand will be in town from 22nd to 27th to provide free prosthetic legs to the needy. I was there 3 years ago, and will definitely be there again this year. The team travels around Asia to help people, so I should do my part give this opportunity. A fairly easy job – directing people, providing physical assistance and translating between Thai and local languages. Dropped my boss a mail, asking for the tub of aluminum rings which has been sitting there for ages. Time to put them to good use!

Dear Diary: ww19.1

Went to Jusco to settle my Aiken purchase, resolved. Bought more stuff from Guardian without realizing that it is Monday today, had to make 2 trips to the car (went to the wrong car park on the first haha…).

Dropped by Lazo Diamond as I had to have one pendant fixed, the solution given was not what I wanted, will call the HQ for a more desirable outcome.

Window shopped for a while before stopping at Border’s. Flipped some pages before leaving Queensbay to have my late dinner. Was not really hungry, eat a bowl of chicken and fish porridge.

Not a very productive Monday, but it is OK since it’s a replacement holiday for me. :) Going back to work tomorrow, all the best to me!!

Dear Diary: ww18.7

Went to YMCA for my weekly badminton session as usually, the journey was terrific – very little traffic on the road. Where were all the people? Did a whole lot of stuff along the way, was late by 45 minutes hehe…

Met up with a friend for a cuppa at e-gate at 5pm. I had a serving of really oily peanut French toast and a glass of ice coffee. Chit chatted for an hour plus, the person who served us was a girl named Kinky.I wonder if she knows what her name means. :) Bought some groceries at Tesco and arrived at Queensbay mall at 9pm. Shared a ridiculously cold, flat not forgetting tiny KFC OR Fillet burger with god brother. A small portioned dinner, but I packed tones of sushi back for supper. Carbo before bed, argh!!! :) Purchased a 10ml Aiken Tea Tree Oil from Jusco, discovered that the box was actually empty when I got home!! I have a bad habit of not taking the first item on the display rack, so naturally I did not notice the missing bottle through the tiny transparent window on the box. You may think that I am stupid since the item must have felt lighter than it should have been. It was only 10ml lar!! Anyway I am going back to the store to have this settled.

A typical Sunday,  but the catching up with my friend was cool. He is an enthusiastic  foodie, time to put on more weight!!

P/S: The Jusco incident is NOT cool!!

Dear Diary: ww18.6

Today is a holiday, woke up early and went for dim sum with my god brother an brother. The journey to town was smooth sailing, minimal traffic. Life would be wonderful if it can be like this every single day. Walked a bit at the wet market after breakfast, god brother spend a fortune on cookware. :)

Drove passed Bishop street on the way home hoping to enquire about Thai Bhat exchange, unfortunately nobody was working. Hopefully the currency will continue to plunge hehe!!

Sunshine Square is having sale today, dropped by and bought some bed sheets, jeans, groceries and swimwear during dinner time. Gosh, really need to watch my spending. Not too crowded, weird. Had a late dinner, an opportunity for the body to store more fat in preparation of winter.

Happy Saturday. :)

Dear Diary: ww18.5

Got the required data ready, will try to retain the 1 headcount I am suppose to cut. If the answer is a big NO, then I am sorry… :(
I just want you to know I have tried my best. I did not mean for this to happen.

I want you to know, it doesn’t matter…
Where we take this road, someone’s gotta go…

Walked to pasar malam upon returning from work, bought some food that will make me put on extra pounds. But what the hell, life is short.

Monday is a rest day, replacement holiday for Labor's Day!!

Dear Diary: ww18.4

Attended a day of training – Paradigm Shift: Customer Service in the New Era, it was alright I guess. What did I learn? Don’t ask me. Lunch was on the house.

More nonsense in the news, what more can I expect?

Just another typical day. I am a simple person living a simple life.

Planning to go for a cruise, a cruise to no where for 1 night only. If it works out, will bring some tidbits and a few good books onboard. I do not gamble, thus it will be a time to just sit back and relax. Thinking of getting a room with a window at least…

Dear Dairy: ww18.3

It has been a while since I wrote anything, besides the e-mails at work of course.

Work has been busy lately, with requests flying here and there. A lot of work which may not be visible to others, but they are certainly there. My vision turns blur every single day staring at the computer, especially in the afternoon. Sometimes I multitask too much and the computer slows down to a halt, other times I automatically freeze for seconds to recompose my thoughts… Dear computer, I know you are old and tired but please run FASTER!!

2 headcounts have been cut from the team and workload for everyone has been increasing. The team needs to breath too, but that is not happening too much thanks to the genius plan of others. I have expressed my opinion that changes in business model are important, but please do not redirect the workload, that is not problem solving. I have been fire fighting picking up after you, so I will truly appreciate if you can implement whatever we have agreed upon ages ago. I have done my part, now please do yours. Whatever that happens after that, I will take further actions. Excuse me Sir, I have a question… do you think it is feasible to cut another headcount? I might not agree but I will do as you wish.

A fluorescent tube above my cubicle went out with a bang today, but it did not shatter. It did not bother me much because it was a child’s play compared to Malaysian news. You forked out tax payer’s money for rebuilding a school, saying that BN will not sideline the Chinese community. The amount should have been channeled for the purpose long before the by-election, but it was not… I am not saying out loud that it’s a form of bribery, I think that it is. Using the tax payer’s money in the name of BN, where is your integrity? You can because you have access, others cannot simply because they do not. It is not that they are unwilling to help, but rather their hands are tied behind their backs. Fellow Malaysians, please stop and ponder… we will benefit if we give the government an overhaul. If you are not happy with the results, change your votes in the next election!

So many deceits and puppet shows in the media. The innocent died without fulfilling their purposes. Truth has been spray painted over with lies. Fairness manipulated via monetary gains. Justice controlled by the powerful. This is the world we live in today, and are participants in the game whether we like it or not. I am one, I cannot do everything but I can do something. If each of us do something, at least that can be part of everything though small. In unity lies power, and power brings changes.

Change for better a life, for freedom, for a better future, and most of all for humanity.
